Treyarch themselves have stated their undying love for dedicated servers and see absolutely no reason to ever change how multiplayer gaming has been done for years now. The head of Treyarch, Mark Lamia, confirms what has been rumored for some weeks now - Call of Duty: Black Ops will have dedicated servers !
"I think dedicated servers are excellent. I don't see any reason not to see them unless... well, I just don't see any reason not to."
