modern_warfare_3 According to Robert Bowling from Infinity Ward studio, the latest sequel of Call of Duty franchise - Modern Warfare 3 will apparently have new engine, a lot more advanced than Modern Warfare 2 had. IW did not publish any details about it, but Modern Warfare 3 gameplay trailer was released, so you can decides for yourself is this new engine or not.

modern_warfare_3 Last year, we have received confirmation from Activision that we can expect yet another Call of Duty title in 2011, which will be the 8th in the franchise. Currently, there are two developing studios which work on Call of Duty franchise, and they exchange each year to work on a new title. Treyarch studio offered us last year "Call of Duty: Black Ops," and this year it's Infinity Ward studio's turn with "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3".

We are now used to for few years in a row to get new Call of Duty title per year, and this year will not be an exception to this recipe, thanks to Activision. However, not everything will be the sane as it was before. So far, every other year we had two studios (Infinity Ward and Treyarch) creating one title - but on Call of Duty 2011 title there will be three studios working on.

Activision issued a better-than-expected earnings report in which it announced a $51 million quarterly profit. In a conference call with analysts afterwards, executives revealed further details on the publisher's future plans. One detail that was revealed was that the Call of Duty series will once again have a fresh first-person installment late next year.

Due to the increased interest Cup will be postponed from Saturday 04/09/2010. to Sunday 09/05/2010. Team signups will be increased from 8 to 16 spots.
